Hi everyone, Hope all is well with you. This is all time question why we think what we think? There are several contributing factors which can be the reasons of why we think what we think. They can be our belief systems, our suppressed desires, our environment, our perception etc.

But the bigger question is can we change our thoughts in the terms of what, when and how much?

The answer is very simple, yes we can. The thoughts which are very prominent in our head are the thought with which we are spending our most of the times. Every thought generates some kind of energy that can be positive or negative. And this energy leaves some mark which can be expressed by different feelings. So the equation is very simple to derived that, most common thought we have in our mind will affect our feelings. We can understand it with some examples over here:

Example A, Someone yells at you and you are thinking about this incident more and more and that is generating the negative energy that leads to a negative feeling which can be sadness, anger etc.

Example B Someone yells at you but you start diverting your mind in some other kind of thought or activity like, you started doing your household chores or start playing an outdoor game or start reading a nice book. Now your mind is not paying attention to that negative incident which happened few minutes before and the amount of negative energy which that negative thought can generate is the lowest and due to this your feelings are less negative.

The next question is, Is this so easy to achieve how easy it sounds in this article. Here is answer is that you, I and we need practice this procedure for a long time until this can become our permanent reaction or cognition by our subconscious mind. First few days everybody will struggle with this changed patterns of thinking but after sometime of constant effort a person can achieve it and will able to manage their thoughts.

At the last we have power over our thoughts, we can choose what to think, or how much attention we should pay to one particular thought. Most of the people don’t know this power of theirs and suffers form negative thinking. But the fact is we can manage our thoughts and we can manage our negative thinking patterns and think positive and behave optimistically in our lives.

This is it for today,

Thanks for reading, I will see you soon
